AMR’s Joseph Lorraine Chapter belongs to the National Honor Society, the nation’s premier organization that recognizes outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS honors those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
The Società Onoraria Italica is a high-school academic honor society established by the American Association of Teachers of Italian. It is designed to honor the academic achievement of students of Italian language and culture, to stimulate interest in the study of the Italian language, and to promote solidarity with the world’s nations.
The Société Honoraire de Français is an academic honor society established by the American Association of French Teachers in 1949, designed to honor the academic achievement of French language students and promote the study of Francophone culture.
The Student Council serves as a link between the students, the faculty, and the administration. Its members are elected by the student body and must demonstrate integrity, leadership, and loyalty to AMR’s philosophy.
